Green Steps Pathways is a collaboration between Peni and Melissa, two local women who have spent their lives living on the land, growing organic food and living a simple and sustainable life. Since 2016 Green Steps Pathways has been teaching and inspiring all ages and abilities to connect and build a relationship with the land either in the woods, beach, school grounds or at Peni’s OPD smallholding, Swn y Coed (Sound of the Woods) in West Wales. Recently Peni collaborated with Huw Richards and has done a video on Swn y Coed. See link below:
As trained Forest School leaders we have shared our knowledge, enthusiasm and love of nature with hundreds of children and adults through Forest School, John Muir Awards, working in partnership with the Woodland Trust, Tir Coed and Building Resilience camps (land based skill camps).
Moving forward, Green Steps recognises the need to empower people to grow their own food using permaculture, organic principles and regenerative agriculture.
For many years we were Green Steps Forest and Beach School Ltd. However as we move forward, we recognised that our work is community based and so we have become Green Steps Pathways C.I.C. which better represents what we do.
